Before becoming Managing Partnering at Leader in Motion, Kim was the Co-Founder and President of an implementation-based management consulting company based in New York City. As an entrepreneur, Kim developed the company from concept, to funding, to launch, and was involved in every facet of the business. Prior to this, Kim was a managing partner for a boutique international consulting company and was responsible for business development and retention.

Kim is a consummate agent of change, passionate about helping individuals and organizations navigate complex business challenges. With over two decades of international consulting expertise, Kim has a proven track record for analyzing business problems, defining a vision for change and implementing sustainable solutions which directly contributed to tens of millions of dollars in bottom line financial improvement. She has worked in over 200 world-leading companies on five continents. Her industry experience includes work in manufacturing, technology, retail, healthcare, hospitality, and financial services.

Kim started her academic career with an undergraduate degree in sociology and a MBA in strategy; she then capped off her credentials with a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership. Her research focused on diversity and gender inclusion with application towards improved organizational performance

Kim’s interest in training and culture change was developed while interacting with clients during her career as a management consultant. She recognized a key deficiency to organizational success was the quality of management and their skill application. In her experience many leaders didn’t effectively manage the people or the processes within their control. Leaders tended to be under skilled, over extended and lacked the appropriate accountability for outcomes. Businesses therefore struggled with the predictability around performance and lacked inspiring leadership. This spurred an interest in how to better serve businesses by working directly with leaders to enact meaningful culture change.

Kim is an author, professional speaker, and blogger. She has written and published articles on issues related to gender related management outcomes, evidence-based management, and educational gender diversity variances. She is a speaking contributor at many industry events in both Canada and the United States and is an ongoing guest lecturer at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University (NYU) in New York City.
